Hi, I'm Gabe.

I’m a Senior Site Reliability Engineer versed in product development, design thinking/human-centered design, distributed systems, and IT infrastructure.

Currently I work at Squarespace running Kubernetes on bare metal and building tools for their compute platform; one that keeps millions of websites quick and reliable every day. In addition to working on Internet infrastructure:

• I've built connected products and smart home infrastructure at Wink

• I'm passionate about well-informed environments, experiences, and tools that help people work better and faster

• I occasionally fight combat robots

• I've helped build and run a maker space with 500 weekly users

Why Built by Experiment? I have always learned best by doing: by getting an idea, setting a goal, and then diving in and getting my hands dirty. If there is a question I have that I can't answer, I find someone or some article that can explain it. If I run into a problem I can't fix, I read, talk, listen, and tinker until I get an understanding and find a solution. The side effect? Quick learning that cements knowledge in a reality based foundation.
